The Client had little or no memory of their father and despite extensive efforts to find out more information, they had been unsuccessful so approached us to assist.
The only information other than a few verbal snippets was a marriage certificate. This marriage was a second marriage for the father. This certificate was of limited use but did give a starting area, albeit that it was during the middle of World War II and therefore no guarantee that the place was their normal home area. Usual basic searches were carried out with no success so the professional body for their listed occupation was approached to see if there were any membership records which could hold a clue. Again this proved to be unsuccessful. Air Raid Warden records were also searched as a verbal snippet had indicated that they gentleman had been a warden. Nothing new was discovered, sadly sometimes nothing can be found, all of the records/archives searched were reported back to the Client.
