Our Client had a copy of a book written by their Grandmother about their life and wanted the content to be translated into a family tree and information verified.
First steps were to create a draft tree from the book and examine the information to ensure it’s accuracy. In one or two cases the information did vary slightly but in each case it was clear as to why or how the variation could have or did come about. Once the base tree was achieved, our task was to research and fill in the gaps, where possible, to produce a more complete family tree. Various sources were used for this process including birth, marriage and death certificates, parish records, census, wills, newspaper articles, brewery records and local history. The result was a comprehensive tree with report to support the book.
