You may choose to use us to do the genealogy research legwork for you and to compile a complete family history or answer your family history queries. Our services are flexible so they can slip easily into each individual project.
Our approach is to have an initial conversation with you to find out exactly what you would like to achieve and what information, if any, you have as a starting point. Once we have this information we are able to commence our research. The scope of which does vary from project to project. Core research information may include census, dates, children, occupations, and addresses. Additional information where available may include for example wills, military, places of interest, famous connections, relevant local history, or school records.
Projects may require research which can only be done by visiting an archive, record office or library. Copies of certificates or other relevant documentation are also obtained when necessary. None of this is done without receiving client consent.
Once all the information is gathered and collated, it is presented in a style agreed with the client to suit their requirements. As with any research, some records may have been lost/destroyed, and so unfortunately we are unable to guarantee results.
Throughout the whole process we keep you, our client informed and discuss progress as we strongly believe in working with as well as for our clients.
